“We want to make the leap from an industrial company to a digital one. We are developing new business models and creating a new ecosystem in which we can realize our ideas.”Kerstin Hochmüller, CEO, Marantec Company Group
“To give something without expecting anything immediately in return – that is a basic prerequisite for a successful collaboration. This is something German SMEs have to learn.”Andreas Schiemann, CEO, Marantec Company Group
Kerstin Hochmüller – born in 1967 – is a CEO and shareholder of the Marantec Company Group. For years, her professional focus has centered on innovation and change processes in medium-sized industrial companies.
After studying business administration at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and pursuing further training in the areas of innovation and change management, Hochmüller completed her MBA studies at the DUW Institute for Professional Studies, which today is home to Steinbeis University Berlin.
She co-founded and served as CEO of kopfstand GbR in 1999, and in the subsequent years, she was responsible for marketing strategy and innovation projects for various well-known companies and start-ups. At the same time, she worked as a trainer teaching creativity techniques and innovation management and assisted numerous companies and organizations with their projects.
Since 2013 Kerstin Hochmüller represents a new generation at the top of the Marantec Company Group and has since transformed the company into a network organization. She is a pioneer and a creator of cooperative business models for the sharing economy.
Andreas Schiemann – born in 1977 – is a CEO of the Marantec Company Group and responsible for the strategic orientation of the group. He focuses on creating and promoting new business opportunities, such as cooperation.
Schiemann laid the foundation for mastering these challenges at the beginning of his professional career. During his training as an electrician, he first took on responsibility in his parents‘ company, and then founded his own company in the field of light planning and projections. He expanded his technical skills by acquiring extra-occupational training as a merchant for trade and industry before joining Marantec in 2002 as sales area manager in Hanover. After a brief stint as a sales and marketing manager at Schüco Alu Competence, Schiemann returned to the Marienfeld-based operator manufacturer as a sales manager – first for Marantec, then for the group of companies.
Schiemann’s working style is characterized by his drive to break new ground. With his inspiring manner, he is a strong initiator for the establishment of unconventional network structures and cooperation in German medium-sized businesses.
